According to NdS, following the cleaning of the walls, amongst other graffiti on the south wall, the letters A, B were found.

Perhaps the beginning of the alphabet that was interrupted.

According to NdS, found on the north wall was a graffito of a couple of gladiators.

The one on the left side was victorious, the other one was dead.

M OBELLIVS.

Della Corte recorded, that after cleaning, the name M OBELLIVS reappeared, in letters 0.09m high.

Following this was the drawing of a Gladiator, who was turned to right with his chest defended by a shield.

Also on this wall reappeared the drawing of two gladiators, the left one victorious and the right one dead.

IX.14.4 Pompeii. 1911, room 14, cubiculum north wall, graffito found further right from the M Obellius graffito.

On the wall was found a drawing a pair of gladiators, the left one a winner, at whose feet was the shield of his opponent.

To the right was the defeated opponent, bleeding from his injuries.

Above the drawing was the inscription:

MYRINVS IVLI XXXI – INACRIVS IV XII

                 V                                   M

Della Corte recorded the letter V in the second verse of the first inscription and suggested it could be the beginning of the word vicit - victorious.

The letter M, the second line of the second inscription, he suggested could be the word missus - reprieved.

Myrinus Iuli(anus) 31 fights, victorious.

Inacrius Iu(lianus) 12 fights, reprieved.
