The walls were painted in the Second Style with ashlars painted in red cinnabar, framed in green. See Notizie degli Scavi di Antichità, January 1897, (p.29).

In Hobson’s book there is a photo with west and east wall, showing two slots for latrine seat. In the above photo, the east wall has collapsed as well as its slot. According to Hobson, the latrine in a room to the north of blocked entrance 24, had slots in the walls for a latrine seat.

In Hobson’s book there is a photo with west and east wall, showing two slots for latrine seat.

In the above photo, the east wall has collapsed as well as its slot.

The slot in the west wall, north-west corner, is still visible.
