(“a small room with a high, narrow door: entrance room with storage, in which was the exquisite altar with loving doves, for domestic sacrifices: for the worship of Venus evidently”.

(un piccolo ambiente dall’alta, angusta porta: saletta d’ingresso con ripostiglio, in cui l’aretta squisita con colombi in amore pei sacrifizi domestici: pel culto di Venere evidentemente.)
