I.7.1 Pompeii. December 2006. Mosaic floor in atrium, east side at southern end. At the south end of the east wall of the atrium, were two panels, one painted red, the other painted yellow. In the middle of the red panel was a painted vignette of a cuttlefish, in the middle of the yellow panel was a painted bird with cherries, see below. In the black zoccolo were painted plants, in the red frieze above the panels were painted plates and fruit.

At the south end of the east wall of the atrium, were two panels, one painted red, the other painted yellow.

In the middle of the red panel was a painted vignette of a cuttlefish, in the middle of the yellow panel was a painted bird with cherries, see below.
