VII.16.22 Pompeii. Casa di Fabio Rufo or House of M Fabius Rufus.

VII.16.17-22 Pompeii. December 2007. Looking west across paved courtyard. According to Jashemski, to the west of the peristyle garden was a paved courtyard with a portico on the south and the east. A large window in the west wall looked down on the garden below, and to the Bay of Naples beyond. This courtyard was probably decorated with potted plants and trees. See Jashemski, W. F., 1993. According to Jashemski, to the west of the peristyle garden was a paved courtyard with a portico on the south and the east.

A large window in the west wall looked down on the garden below, and to the Bay of Naples beyond.

This courtyard was probably decorated with potted plants and trees.

Now in Naples Archaeological Museum.  Inventory number 9624.
According to Grimaldi, this fragment was from the centre of the west wall of Oecus 32.
