V.2.15 Pompeii. Casa di Giove or House of Jupiter and Casa di Orione or House of Orion.
Plan following the new excavations in 2018.
The room numbers are those referred to on the pompeiiinpictures pages for V.2.15 and V.2 Casa di Orione.
These rooms were photographed in 2007 and have our original numbering 1 to 11e reflecting the sequence in which we originally photographed the rooms.
The house is shown with solid lines on the plan.
The rooms uncovered in 2018 are numbered A1-A20 based on the plan published by the Parco Archeologico di Pompei.
The excavations are shown with dotted lines.
Rooms 11a to 11e were identified by Mau in 1895 as belonging to V.2.15 the Casa di Giove.
Following the recent excavations they are now considered part of the Casa di Orione.
Rooms A1, A20 and A9 are part of a separate house adjacent to the Casa di Orione.
This plan is to help you accurately locate the rooms shown in the photographs of this large house and the exciting new discoveries.
The plan also shows the links to V.2.16 and the garden area behind V.2.15.
Please be aware that the room numbers shown may differ from any other plans or records both published and unpublished.
