According to NdS,
To the left of the entrance doorway (of VII.6.37), was found across the roadway, a large parallelepid of Sarno stone, which did not reach to the pavement opposite, but rested with the extremity projecting onto a stone of lava. This was used to facilitate the passage onto the pavement opposite, and at the same time did not impede the rainwater.
The ground was paved; and almost in the entire left half of the eastern side of the vicolo, there are no doorways and the wall preserved remains of a high signinum zoccolo/plinth.
