According to Bragantini, to the east of this doorway the dado would have been seen to be low and red.

The middle zone of the wall was colourless.

IX.2.21 Pompeii. March 2009. Room 2, south wall, and south-west corner. According to Bragantini, in this room the dado was colourless. On the south wall the central panel was yellow and the side panels were red. In the side panels would have been vignettes of animals, or birds. The upper zone was colourless.

IX.2.21 Pompeii. March 2009. Room 2, south-west corner. According to Boyce, found in this room that Fiorelli described as un cubiculo divenuto Larario, was  a square brick base with a depression in its upper surface for a statue base and in front of it was a square brick altar.
