VIII.4.29 Pompeii. Rear of Bakery or workshop.

VIII.4.29 Pompeii. March 2009.  Entrance. In June 1766, the following entry was made in PAH I, 1,189:  ….on the wall of the house opposite the doorway of the Temple of Isis, the following inscription was found:
Cn(aeum)  Helvium 
Sabinum  aed(ilem)  Isiaci
universi  rog(ant)   [CIL IV 787]

The remains of one of the four columns of VIII.4.15 is laying on the grass, which would have been the peristyle area belonging to VIII.4.27. VIII.4.27’s rear entrance at VIII.4.29 is on the south side of peristyle.

The remains of one of the four columns of VIII.4.15 is lying on the grass, which would have been the peristyle area belonging to VIII.4.27.

VIII.4.27’s rear entrance at VIII.4.29 is on the south side of peristyle.
