VIII.4.3 Pompeii. 1861 drawing of Mercury from inside shop. No longer visible.  Now in Naples Archaeological Museum.  Inventory number 9450. Fiorelli described Fortuna and Mercury painted on the walls of this shop, which the owner hoped would bring prosperity. 
Fortuna is standing, dressed in Chiton and Mantel. In her left hand is the horn of plenty. In her right hand is a rudder resting on a globe. See Pappalardo, U., 2001.
