Reproduction painting of Hercules and Iole, as painted by Raoul Rochette.
Described as found in a house next to that called “School of Verna” and it decorated a wall in one of the rooms situated to the right of the peristyle, at the rear of this house, which was of little importance.

When found, it was in a bad condition.
According to the note below the drawing, it was from a cubiculum found in the month of December 1839.
This room was on the west side of the peristyle.

When found, it was in a bad condition.

According to the note below the drawing, it was from a cubiculum found in the month of December 1839.

This room was on the west side of the peristyle.

According to Zahn, this was provenanced from a small chamber at the rear of the Casa del Cignale, whereas according to the note on the Abbate drawing (above) it was found in this house (VIII.3.4), on the west side of the peristyle, and gave the house its name.
