C(aio) Cuspio C(ai) f(ilio) {F} Pansae

pontifici IIvir(o) i(ure) d(icundo)

ex d(ecreto) d(ecurionum) pec(unia) pub(lica)       [CIL X, 791 (p 967) = D 06360a]

 

According to Cooley, this translates as

 

To Gaius Cuspius Pansa, son of Gaius, son, priest, duumvir with judicial power.

By decree of the town councillors, at public expense.

According to Pagano and Prisciandaro, this was found in May 1816, it was a brick pedestal clad in marble, near to a travertine column.

It read –

 

C(aio) Cuspio C(ai) f(ilio) Pansae

Iivir(o) i(ure) d(icundo) quart(um) quinq(uennial)

ex d(ecreto) d(ecurionum) pec(unia) pub(lica)      [CIL X 790]

According to Cooley this translates as

 

To Gaius Cuspius Pansa, son of Gaius, duumvir with judicial power four times, quinquennial.
