VII.2.38 Pompeii. December 2004. North wall of tablinum.
This wall was painted with a red zoccolo (lower part) which had three wide panels containing painted plants.
The middle area of the wall was painted yellow with a central wall painting. The upper wall was painted white.
Painted plaster on south side of blocked doorway to peristyle of VII.2.20.
This would have been a linked latrine, in the south-east corner of atrium of VII.2.38, and north-west corner of shop.

Now in Naples Archaeological Museum. Inventory number 9977.
According to PAH II, 440, two opus sectile panels were found in VII.2.38.
According to Naples Museum and PPM, these were found in VII.4.31/51.
