According to Hobson in the corner under the site of the stairs, may have been the latrine. See Hobson, B. 2009. Pompeii, Latrines and Down Pipes. Oxford, Hadrian Books, (p.185 & 188).
According to Fiorelli, at the side of the entrance doorway was the bread-shop, with hearth and the latrine. See Pappalardo, U., 2001. La Descrizione di Pompei per Giuseppe Fiorelli (1875). Napoli: Massa Editore. (p.50)
