VII.4.6 Pompeii. Shop. Excavated 1824.

According to Fiorelli –

“6. 7. E trovansi appresso due botteghe assai profonde, ognuna con cella interiore, alla prima delle quali era addossato un androne, che potrebbe aver servitor di repositorio.”

See Pappalardo, U., 2001. La Descrizione di Pompei per Giuseppe Fiorelli (1875). Napoli: Massa Editore. (p.89).

(trans: 6 and 7. Nearby were found two very deep shops, each with an inner rear room, the first of which was against a corridor, that could have been used as a repository.)
