According to Garcia y Garcia, -

“During the bombing of 19th September 1943, a bomb caused the downfall and destruction to all of the east wing of the peristyle area, including the east perimeter wall shared with the House of the Moralist.

The same bomb destroyed the three rooms on the east side of the peristyle together with all the painted IVth Style decoration, especially that of the oecus/cubiculum in the south-east corner.

One of the other destroyed rooms was the workshop.”
